Who would I be for a day?

Daily writing prompt
If you could be someone else for a day, who would you be, and why?

If it was that I switched bodies, I wouldn’t want to do it. I’ve always thought it would be easy too easy to ruin someone’s life doing that…and way awkward to use the bathroom. (Shout out to “Your Name” for at least owning up to that.)

If I was just given the job of another person, I think I’d pick the President. I’d like to know for sure what’s really going on in the government. And that seems like the way. I hope at least.

I can’t see any other benefit to being famous, honestly. It’s a hassle more than anything else.

My biggest challenge?

Daily writing prompt
What is the biggest challenge you will face in the next six months?

Impossible to be sure, but right now it’s paying off car repairs.

Always fun. I suppose I’m just lucky I’m not paying off College Loans instead.

Good luck to all of you with whatever challenge you’re facing.

My favorite people to be around

Daily writing prompt
Who are your favorite people to be around?

Sounds corny, but my family.

I like hanging out with friends too, but my family are the ones I’m most comfortable with and who know me the best. Probably it’s because I can make jokes and know that they won’t be misunderstood (usually). Also they’re interested in more of the same subjects, and often other people have no idea what I’m talking about.

I’m lucky to have siblings who both talk to me and are interesting people.

I’ll have to guess…

Daily writing prompt
What were your parents doing at your age?

Dang… I’m not sure but I think they were doing mission trips, and starting up a small business. My dad also might have been in a cult at the time…

Weird mix of things. They weren’t even married yet when my Dad was my age, I think, not sure they’d even met.

And here I am, not married, been on two mission trips, and trying to start up more of my own money generating ideas…

I guess the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree in some respects.

My parents never pushed me to be like them in my career or lifestyle, since both of them thought they made a lot of mistakes as young adults and figured I should just figure out what I wanted to do myself.

So I’ve been free to explore whatever options I want, within reason.

Even though we are Christians, they also didn’t force us to practice a lot of Christian traditions beyond holidays and Bible study. I’d say we were limited, but not in a lot of very huge ways.

I never felt like they controlled my life too much as a kid, though as a young adult,my father did try to control my actions more than he should have for my maturity level. But I put a stop to it,an though I was berated for it, I got my way in the end, as I usually do.

So yeah, I can’t complain too much, and it’s funny that I still ended up doing very similar things to them even though they never told me to. Something’s are inherited after all.

But blogging and doing videos are my own thing, they never did that kind of stuff, so I guess I am original in some ways– if doing what thousands of other people do is original.

Peace out

(See that’s not original either.)

Till next time– Natasha

If I could change one law?

Daily writing prompt
If you had the power to change one law, what would it be and why?

I find this question lacking in wisdom. Changing laws will not change people’s morals. And laws are hard to enforce, always some people will get away with illegal stuff.

We need laws the same way we need safety features on tools, but they dont’ guarantee no one will get hurt. They just reduce the amount of people who will.

But that’s what to ask if you’d just add or change one law, its not really addressing the issue. You can’t mandate morality that closely.

But one thing I think is that we have too many laws.

We shouldn’t need permits to do everything now. It’s ridiculous to pay someone else for what you do with your own property. It’s an example of how laws get to be too numerous and impose on people’s rights.

Just my opinion.

If I got fantastic news right now…

Daily writing prompt
You get some great, amazingly fantastic news. What’s the first thing you do?

The first thing I do is either thank God or call my family to tell them.

Probably both simultaneously.

Second thing I do is tell my friends.

Then I probably post it on here so that people can share the excitement.

Hey, I’ll let you know if I get some great news sometime soon.
